Supporting the Troops

Grant’s started off in the humble beginnings of Glasgow in 1885 making traditional Scottish dishes. Fast forward to present day and we are still making the finest quality canned dishes in Scotland. We are now based in the beautiful countryside of Ayrshire; however, our reach has never been so vast.
Our world famous Grant’s Haggis has been enjoyed all across the globe having been exported to over 40 countries! Our haggis is widely accessible from all major UK supermarkets and exporters such as British Corner shop and Turner and Price. From Sweden to Singapore to Berlin to Brazil, our little tins of Haggis travel far. This traditional Scottish delicacy is consumed all year round but in particular- Burns night.
Burns night is a celebration for all to enjoy which is why in 2018; we will be supplying the troops working in the NATO HQ in Izmir with Haggis for their Burns supper. These troops may be far from Scotland but we will bring Scotland to them! For a number of years, Grants have been involved with the ‘Haggis for Heroes’ campaign which gave people the opportunity to send loved ones a can of haggis. In the past we have sent a batch of haggis to American troops serving in Iraq for their Burns night. Supporting the armed forces has always been important for Grants and we hope to continue this support in the future.
We are very honoured to be sponsoring the troops in Izmir and hope it will be a Burns night to remember!

Mini Roasts have launched at Tesco!

Grant’s Foods have expanded their product offering with the introduction of the “Mini Roasts” range. The new product range comprises of BBQ Pulled Beef, BBQ Pulled Pork, Roast Beef in a Rich Gravy, and Roast Gammon in a Sweet Sticky Glaze.

The range is made using only high quality, natural ingredients, select hand-cut pieces of meat using no additives, flavourings or preservatives. The flavours were inspired by the BBQ Pulled Pork and Beef trend that is currently sweeping through restaurants across the UK with a value of £31 million as a prepared take-home product . Whereas, the Roast Beef in a Rich Gravy and Roast Gammon in a Sweet Sticky Glaze were inspired by the traditional Sunday roast.

Nicola Young, Grant’s Foods marketing executive said “The range is exciting and original, each product packed full of flavour and made with high quality ingredients, going against the perception that canned goods are boring, old fashioned and unhealthy . It is a range that will really stand out the on shelves.”
The product and packaging was influenced by upmarket gastro pubs, designed to appeal to younger consumers. The packaging combines the mouth-watering product shot against a stark black background, focusing the consumer’s attention entirely on the succulent, juicy product.
The new range is available in selected Tesco stores.
